Recent Finds: Old and New
The Beginnings of My Fall Wishlist, Vestiaire Hearts, and Other Items of Interest
This letter leans fall. I know many of us aren’t mentally there yet, but my Chrome history certainly is, and today we’re looking at some recent finds, both old (vintage) and new. I’m taking you through what’s in my cart, exposing my Vestiaire hearts, and sharing a few other pieces that have been on my mind. Like I said, my shopping focus has shifted seasons—but there are still some finds that work for summer, or better yet, as transitional pieces! If you’re not quite ready for the F-word just yet.
NEW:
Starting with my SSENSE basket: now that summer shopping is behind me, a fall cart has begun to take shape. Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:
As I usually do, I’m starting mostly with practical pieces (aside from the skirt trouser)—the ones I noticed were missing from my wardrobe last season.
Beige Signature Trench Coat: Last year I felt like I needed a beige trench refresh. I generally love Toteme outerwear, and this one is a strong contender.
Grey Inverness Sweater: A versatile piece I can see myself wearing in so many ways.
Track Jacket: A sporty layering piece I know I’d reach for often.
Skirt Trousers: I feel like I’ve now built a good lineup of black trousers, so adding a pair with a bit more of a twist feels justifiable.
Summer Parachute Jacket: I bought the beige version in the spring and have worn it so much since, I’m now considering adding the black to my collection too. Could be a more versatile alternative to the ON track jacket.
Tan Suede Midi Skirt: I’d love to add some fall/winter-appropriate skirts to my collection that aren’t black. This one ticks every box.
Brown Wool Midi: Another midi option—I love the brown wool.
Black Wool Baby Cami: An elevated tank to wear on its own now and to layer into fall and winter.
I’m a longtime fan of Australian brand Matteau, especially when it comes to summer and vacation wear. But I hadn’t noticed their knitwear until an email landed in my inbox announcing it was back in stock. They’re offering three styles, all of which look very promising: a perfectly slouchy sweater, an appropriately shrunken crew, and an effortlessly cool vest—each available in versatile shades of black, beige, navy, and red. In my ideal world, I’d own them all.
Speaking of cashmere! My love for Extreme Cashmere knows no bounds. They recently released their first take on jackets and, no surprise here, I love them. They’ve kicked off their outerwear collection with 5 genderless styles of double-faced wool and cashmere options all available now for pre order. I’m particularly partial to the n°427 maker and the n°429 bog.
With the seasonal shift comes the desire to refresh my loungewear. One brand I always turn to is LESET—I love the balance they strike between comfort and silhouettes that still feel appropriate to leave the house in. Here’s what’s caught my eye under the ‘New Arrivals’ tab.

On the left, a collared suede from COS I doubt will stay in stock for too long.
And to the right—I don’t think these are actually new, but they’re new to me: old new. I love a painter pant, but the good ones are hard to come by. I’m thinking of trying this men’s version from Alex Mill.
OLD NEW
Speaking of old new. What could epitomize the two words more than some good vintage arrivals. I’ve been striking gold on Vestiare Collective, and because I’m feeling generous, I thought I’d share my hearts with you. Hopefully I’m spreading good vintage karma!

Hermès’ Garden Party tote has been on my wishlist for a very long time. What’s been holding me back is that I’m not entirely decided on the colourway.
And finally, a few more options I hearted earlier this summer:
That’s all for now!
