What I Wore in NYC

A quick recap of some outfits from my recent trip to New York—a lot of my favorites on repeat!

Look 1

Coffee run! In my Studio Nicholson Holin Coat, Proenza Schouler Ryman jeans, &Daughter Foulard, The Row Idaho tote, and Nobilis boots (which I’ve been reaching for nearly every day).

The Idaho Tote has been sold out for a while now, but here are some other brown bags I’m loving: Suede Shoulder Bag, Demi Lune, T-Lock, 90s, Astra, and the Blake (very practical).

Look 2:

Off to visit the Little Liffner pop-up showroom before dinner with friends. Wearing a Toteme croc-embossed coat (a couple sizes on sale here), The Row Stepny wool and cashmere-blend turtleneck, their Banana Bag, Ryman jeans, and Nobilis boots.

Every year, I like to invest in a sweater I know I’ll wear all season long. This year, it was the Stepny, and let me just say—it’s a true workhorse of a closet staple. Warm yet lightweight, it’s incredibly easy to style and layer, has the most perfect slouch, and looks just as good with leggings as it does with trousers.

Look 3:

Back in nearly the same outfit—just a different top! Here, I’m wearing The Row’s Dende polo sweater, which I managed to snag on sale. There are many great alternatives, though—like this one and this one.

I’ve also swapped the Proenza jeans for this pair from Re/Done, which are nearly identical and make a great alternative. They’re slightly wider and more relaxed—I love them!

Look 4:

Dinner with friends! My original plan was to wear a belted blazer with trousers, but I was tired from running around all day and just wanted to feel relaxed and comfortable (what else is new). Instead, I pulled my Stepny sweater and paired it with my Proenza jeans and these really fab Khaite Ona boots, which definitely make the outfit.

I tend to pack in looks when travelling, which I have officially decided to stop doing because I almost never stick to the plan.

Look 5:

We took a trip uptown to do some shopping—really festive and fun! I was very thankful I brought this coat because it ended up being quite cold in New York, and I wore it 90% of the time.

The coat is from The Row, another sale purchase! Black seems to be limited now, but this version from Norma Kamali also looks amazing. Underneath, I’m wearing the Stepny in black, paired with black jeans (great alternative), and, again, my Idaho bag and Nobilis boots.

Look 6:

Technically not my look—this coat sadly doesn’t belong to me, but I would really like for it to! This one and this one are also amazing. At the Toteme store on Madison, which I thoroughly enjoyed perusing.

Additional Items Packed:

T-Shirts: Flore Flore and Petit Bateau long sleeves, Khaite, Extreme Cashmere (a new favorite), Toteme for when the shirt is exposed, Re/Done for layering. A lot of shirts, I know, but I like to have a fresh one for every day.

Activewear: Estrella top, Essential long sleeve, and Racerback bra. For leggings, Set, Nylora, and Toteme (though the last option is more for walking around, not actually working out).

Socks: Aritzia, Comme Si, and Set Active.

Sneakers: Salomons!
