Hi! Writing to you from 30,000 feet (or whatever cruising altitude is) in the sky.
I’m on my way home from a very brief trip to New York, actually, but the contents of this letter pertain to my previous trip to California. We popped in for a few days to meet our new nephew, Remi. He’s insanely delish, and the baby fever is high.
We only had three full days in LA, so Zach encouraged me to pack a carry-on, and I decided to oblige. I love the convenience of traveling light, but I’m not going to lie—it’s always tough for me, being the packrat that I am. Not to mention, the varying temperatures LA experiences in a single day this time of year only add to the challenge.
In any case, we made it work, so I thought I’d share some of the outfits I ended up putting together.
Day 1
Night 1
We had a really early, casual bite, so I just did a quick sweater swap and threw my hair back.
Day 2
I find that a cashmere zip is great for packing light—it’s easy to throw on for a walk or breakfast at the hotel, yet still looks put-together with denim or a trouser. It’s also perfect for the plane ride!
Night 2
New favorite pant alert! They run slightly longer than average, making them super elongating and perfect for pairing with a taller heel. I really adore the sweater too—both are recent additions to my closet from Aflalo.
Day 3

A beige clog (or a Birkenstock) just feels right in California.
Night 3
I had a much less comfortable look planned for this evening, but by Day 3 of nonstop running around, I just couldn’t bring myself to go through with it.
Travel Look
Misc!
Some other outfits I threw together (not pictured):
Lila Zip Hoodie + Max Long Sleeve + Kai Leggings + Merino Tube Socks + Hugo Slides for a walk to grab our morning coffee
Orso W Sweater + Gala Pant + Hugo Slides for breakfast at the hotel
Half Zip Pullover + Align Leggings + Ankle Socks + Sneakers for a hike
Other MVPs include:
Belletto Cosmetic Bags — I can’t recommend these pouches enough. The Essentials Clutch is my favorite for skincare; all of mine fit perfectly inside. The Makeup Bag and The Mini are perfect for throwing in your travel tote or everyday bag. They make switching between purses a breeze! Plus, they’re gorg and incredibly well-made.
Cuyana Travel Case and Beauty Roll — This was my first time using my Cuyana pouches, and I’m instantly in love. They have multiple compartments that keep everything super organized.
Longchamp Le Pliage Expandable Tote — I could never travel with just a carry-on without this bag—it holds so much. I mostly use it for shoes, bags, and toiletries. While it’s usually collapsed, I love that it can expand (as pictured) if I need more space or in case I’m coming home with a few more things than I left with.
That’s all for this time. Speak soon!
xx
