This letter is in part in partnership with Sézane.
I’m back home after a week in New York, so naturally this letter is a recap of the trip. It was a full few days— meetings, previews, events, making new friends and catching up with old ones. I had the best time and somehow feel both exhausted and energized at the same time.
I arrived a day early so I could properly settle in and catch up with friends before my schedule kicked off.
First things first, unpack. On trips like this, I pack everything on hangers. It takes up more space in my luggage (meaning I end up having to bring more pieces), but makes unpacking such a breeze. I just have the front desk bring up a clothing rack and transfer all my clothes straight over.
To dinner, I ended up repeating an outfit I’d worn the week before because I loved it so much. I built the look around two of my new favourite Sézane pieces: the Will Jacket and the Lisandro Pant. The Lisandro is the kind of black low-rise trouser that’s hard not to reach for over any other pair in my closet. I’ve only had them for two weeks and have already worn them four times.
The Will Jacket is equally good. I love that it has the structure of a jacket but the ease of a shirt, which makes it incredibly wearable. Mine is in this beautiful camel suede, but it also comes in a few other colours and fabrics. I’d love to eventually add the olive green to my collection too. I finished the look with the Eli scarf for added warmth and a pop of colour.

First full day: I started the day with an event at Raf’s, followed by two previews and a meeting uptown.
I wore this ponyhair coat I bought last year—truly one of my favourite pieces in my closet. I paired it with my new Life Jeans, which are such a great shape and so comfortable. The Rebecca flats and Terrasse bag make their 800th appearance on this Substack, which may seem redundant to some, but I really believe in investing in pieces you can wear over and over (and over and over) again.
One highlight of the day was Ossou. Denim feels special and elevated, with such beautiful hues and textures. They’re also expanding beyond denim into shirting, knitwear, and a wider range of outerwear. I wanted everything, including the belts that aren’t in production yet but hopefully will be in the future.
Later, I rushed back from the Upper East Side for a quick shower (anyone else shower an absurd amount in New York?), changed, and headed back out to another event with Anfisa.
They had samples of a new ÂN-GLOSS Ceramide Lip shade at the event that’s so pretty. If you haven’t tried it, their clear gloss is one of my go-to hydrating glossy balms. I love the metal applicator.
The following day started with TWP. They showed the kind of clothes you want to wear in real life. The collection was grounded, outdoorsy, and built around a neutral colour palette that felt very aligned with my own.
I wore one of my go-to outfits, jeans and a button-down, but added some fur to make it feel fun. The mink turtleneck is a really special piece that’s been in my family for generations, originally my great-grandmother’s, then my mom’s, and now mine.
From there I went straight to The Twenty Two to view RÙADH’s latest collection, where I was particularly drawn to the denim, of course, but also the new suiting and shirting.

Fast forward: after a fun lunch, a few more appointments, and an hour back in my room, I got ready to head out again for the evening.
Leah from Élue dropped off some incredible vintage for me to wear over the week (pinch me!!). I carried her Tom Ford–era Gucci mink evening bag, created in collaboration with Swarovski crystals. I styled it with my own Tom Ford Gucci leather jacket, because it only felt right, and a pair of men’s khakis from Gap.
A delivery from Oak Essentials arrived the next morning. I threw back a packet of Cellular Hydration immediately and then fell in love with their body lotion. I’m a sucker for blue tansy.

Last official day of NYFW for me, it was mostly previews and appointments. I started with a trip to Tibi in FiDi before a quick intermission for a facial with Sofie Pavitt. She’s a wealth of knowledge and gave my skin exactly what it needed. The post-facial glow was crazy.
The rest of my afternoon was filled with beautiful things:
All three showrooms left me with a few new additions to my wishlist.
Last event of the week with Poshmark. I wore this 2003 runway Oscar de la Renta hand-beaded fur and cashmere jacket, courtesy of Élue, which felt very appropriate for the occasion.
One last look for the books, worn to bop around the LES.
If you find yourself on the Lower East Side, the coffee at Round K is fantastic and Gem Home is really cute for lunch.
Until next time! xx
