This letter is in partnership with Nylora.
The truth is, I spend a lot of time in leggings. But that doesn’t mean I always want to throw on a fleece and some Uggs and run out the door (though, I often do that too). No, leggings can be chic — even when styled for practicality. They’re comfortable, easy to move around in, and all the while, never schlumpy. Not a pant to be overlooked.
These might not be the kind of looks you came here for (or actually… maybe they were?), but personally, some of my favorite inspo is just more elevated ways to wear the practical stuff — a great errands outfit, a midday coffee run, even a polished workout look. It’s about styling the pieces we’re actually wearing, not just the ones we wish we were.
That’s the point of today’s letter: how I style my leggings when I need to head out in a pinch — mostly for workouts or errands. There’s a lot of Nylora in here, and that’s not just because they’re kindly sponsoring this post. Since trying their Kai leggings, Nylora has become a true favorite in my closet for all things activewear.
Their leggings — which are kind of the cornerstone of my everyday wardrobe, and the star of today’s letter — are buttery soft, perfectly high-rise, stay put, and excel in both quality and comfort.

This is a combo I often turn to when I’m working from home but know I’ll need to run a few quick errands throughout the day: leggings + a wrap sweater + ballet flats. The knit sweater and slightly more formal shoes help the look feel more polished and less athletic.
One of the reasons I love the Kai legging so much is that, thanks to the delicate brushed fabric, they translate really well as an everyday pant.

On the flip side, when I want to lean into a sporty look, I often style the leggings in a way that feels a little more 90s — mostly because 90s style is my favorite and I just think it looks cool. Plus, the double-layer t-shirt and sweatshirt around the waist here help the look feel more intentional.
Truly, I’ve never received so many compliments in a Pilates class as I did the day I wore this outfit. We’ve talked about how the Kai works well for everyday wear, but they’re my go-to for workouts of any kind. Made from a 4-way stretch fabric, they’re both supportive and flexible.
Oh, and by the way, this Simone sweater I layered over top… insanely soft.
The tank is just as cute on its own, too, and doesn’t compromise on comfort or practicality for working out. It’s also available in black, midnight, and pink.
For the most part, I don’t gravitate towards colour when it comes to leggings, but the Kai in Midnight somehow still feels like a neutral to me. I often pair them with Nylora’s Blake tank top—also in Midnight—for a no-brainer, monochromatic workout outfit. I almost always layer another white tank underneath to break up the look just a little.
The Blake has become another go-to in my closet. I love that the square neck adds a little bit of interest, and I also appreciate how it shapes me without being too tight.
Miu Miu’s Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear show features a lot of great athleisure-y looks. While mine might not be quite as fabulous, that’s what I drew inspiration from for this look. It also kind of feels like something Cher Horowitz might have worn to P.E., and I’m definitely down with that.
Finishing with an errands look and another go-to combo for me. Here, the button-down shirt and suede shoes transform an otherwise athletic-leaning outfit into something more suited for everyday wear.
