I kicked off May with a trip to LA to visit family. We spent five days in the city, which, to me, is the perfect amount of time for a visit.
So, a diary of sorts from the trip to follow—a recap of outfits, shopping, and meals.
Wearing
I was completely scatterbrained in the days leading up to my flight and might have done the worst packing job on record. Thankfully, some staples still made their way into my luggage which I ended up relying on heavily.
A few pieces I packed were worn far more than I had expected which I think it speaks to the versatility of each of them: vintage Levi’s, Silk Linen and Cady Gala Pants, Toteme Twisted Seam Trousers, a Rollneck sweater, and a couple of long-sleeve T-shirts.
For morning walks, I was very grateful to have brought my Still Here sweatshirt and my new favourite Donni pants. I also ended up loving this baseball tee for lounging around the house.
For shoes, I rotated mostly between these PVC sandals, vintage Burberry mules, this pair of kitten heels, and a pair of Asics.

The travel look feels like the right place to start. Including because it’s an outfit I wear often to the airport.

The woven bag is St. Agni. I’ve had it for a few years now and it seems like they’re not making it anymore, but both of these are great alternatives.

It was around this point that I started borrowing my husband’s clothes.

Some more outfits not pictured:
Belle Boatneck + Gala Pants + PVC flip flops + Odette Pearl Earings + Agnes bag + RL cable-knit in the bag just in case
Rollneck sweater + Gala Pant + Burberry mules + woven bag
Rollneck sweater + dark denim + Mila mules

Shopping
I’ve promised myself no shopping for clothes until I can do a proper closet clean-out, but I did pop into a few favourite spots nonetheless.
