Is it just me, or did January kind of fly by?

Because I basically live in the North Pole, taking it slow this time of year is almost forced upon us—but I have to say, I really enjoy it. For the most part, I’ve been taking things easy, though I did make a quick overnight trip to Toronto earlier in the month.

While there, I attended a beautiful dinner with Nina Ricci to celebrate the Canadian launch of Vénus de Nina Ricci. I had a seat right by the fireplace, and I wasn’t mad about it.

I wore this very special velvet Nina Ricci number, paired with my go-to evening pant.

I also took advantage of being in the city and booked an appointment for facial acupuncture with my naturopath (who I usually see virtually), Dr. Melissa. It was so lovely, and I was blown away by the instant glow.

This brown shearling, which I brought with me to Toronto, is the most recent addition to my closet.

It’s extremely warm, and I’ve barely taken it off since it arrived. It’s from Toteme, but I came across a lot of great options while doing my research.

Other exciting items that have arrived in the mail include this very soft bouclé scarf. I can already tell it’s going to serve me very well for the rest of winter.

Two new hair products I’ll be testing out immediately also landed at my door: the new Crown Affair Smoothing Air Dry Cream and a hair treatment from Filament. I’ll report back on both.

Otherwise, I’ve been doing more browsing than actually pulling the trigger. So far, my open tabs are looking like:
